Senior Leadership Team
The Senior Leadership Team (SLT) work together to ensure high‑quality learning, strong pastoral support and a positive school culture for all pupils. This reflects our vision that we champion kindness, high expectations and the belief that everyone can achieve their dreams, and is rooted in our values of Ambition, Respect and Kindness. Mrs L Bayliss (Depute Head Teacher)
Mrs Bayliss is Year Head for S5 and S6 pupils. She leads the development of the curriculum, including interdisciplinary learning, student leadership, skills development opportunities, and profiling. She works closely with partners such as Skills Development Scotland and the Developing the Young Workforce (DYW) Co-ordinator. She also co-ordinates religious observance assemblies, parents’ evenings, the Leavers' Ceremony, and Prize Giving.
Mrs A MacInnes (Depute Head Teacher)
Mrs MacInnes is Year Head for S1 pupils. She leads on wellbeing, equity and inclusion, and is the Child Protection Co-ordinator. She is responsible for P7/S1 Transition, working closely with primary colleagues, and oversees school enrolments and the Health and Wellbeing Week.
Mr M McWhirter (Depute Head Teacher)
Mr McWhirter is Year Head for S2 and S3 pupils. He leads on raising attainment and whole school tracking, monitoring and interventions, including the Pupil Equity Fund (PEF), literacy and numeracy, and family learning opportunities. He is also responsible for subject choice, timetabling, staff induction, and provisionally registered teachers (PRTs).
