S1/2 spend 1 period a week in Music
All pupils learn basic skills in guitar and keyboard playing
Inventing (making up their own music) and learning how to write this down
Group performing on drum-kit, guitar, bass guitar, keyboard and percussion
Listening to recorded music, to themselves and to each other
S3/4 spend 3 periods a week in Music
The courses are: Standard Grade/ Access/ Intermediate 1/ Intermediate 2
Performing on 2 instruments

Listening
S5/6 spend 5 periods a week in Music
The courses are: Higher/Advanced Higher or Performing only unit

Friday - Guitar Group (Room 10) and Junior Choir (Room 8)
All of the above groups take part in Performances at
the School Christmas Concert, Spring Concert (usually held in April), the
Awards Ceremony (held in June/July), as well as various Performances within
the Local Community
Approximately 140 pupils receive Instrumental Lessons weekly in School. Instruments taught are violin, guitar, bass guitar, tuba, trumpet, horn, trombone, flute, oboe, clarinet, bass clarinet, ‘cello, drum-kit, and tuned percussion
