History

S1-S6 courses are offered in the department.
- Each S1 class attends History one period a week. The second period in the week is rotated on a weekly basis with Geography.
Each S2 class attends History one period a week. The second period in the week is rotated on a weekly basis with Geography. - Standard Grade is offered in S3/4. All classes attend 3 periods a week.
- From August 2008, Intermediate will be offered instead of Standard Grade in S3/4. All classes will attend 3 periods a week.
- Higher Still NQ courses are offered in S5/6. Higher and Intermediate attend 5 periods a week
- S5/6 - Intermediate 1/2

- S6 - Advanced Higher - between 2 and 4 periods a week, depending on numbers

Help With Revision
The department has an open-door policy. Pupils are welcome and encouraged to come to the department Monday - Thursday lunchtimes from 1pm - 1.40pm to get any extra help with their homework. From S4 - S5, after school study sessions are also available.
